Companion Way Threshold

My threshold developed chips due to stress from the sharp edge just inside the cabin.  Faced with a lifetime of gelcoat repairs, I decided to round the sharp edge off.  The rounding operation removed the gelcoat.  Covering this area with the gray nonskid tape did 2 things:  1)  it covered the bare edge.  2)  it provides for sure footing when shoes are wet.  The stainless stainless strake is very convenient when removing heavy or sharp objects (like batteries).  It just, more or less, makes the threshold indestructible.  Remember, we live aboard and go through the threshold about a zillion times a day
