Rendezvous Traditions

The Catalina Rendezvous is one of the Bay Area's exciting cruising traditions; this year we are celebrating our 12th anniversary.

Come meet other Catalina owners to share stories about adventures, improvements, and equipment.  If you don't know people, your Fleet Captain will introduce you around.  It's a lot of fun!

We will begin arriving at Marina Bay as early as Friday to begin the party, which may exceed 50 boats this year.  Some of us will stay through Sunday night and return to the world on Monday morning.   Dinners available Fri, Sat, and Sun, with breakfast on Sunday.

One of our recent traditions is an optional costume theme.   The recent pirate and yachting themes were a big hit, with over half of our guests participating.   This year our theme is Rags to Riches.

Drive ins are welcome, and there is plenty of free parking adjacent to the Tradewinds clubhouse.

Good driving directions are available on the Marina Bay Yacht Harbor site, and the Tradewinds Sailing School and Club site.

This is easy & fun for the whole family!

Bocci Ball

  • We will have a low key lawn bocce competition on the club lawn next to the harbor.  This was the highlight of the 2008 Rendezvous.   It is an easy game to learn, with a mix of skill and luck winning the day.
