This regatta includes competition for four perpetual trophies: The Wheeler Cup, The City of Berkeley Cup, the Nimitz Cup, the Berkeley Marina Trophy.

Sailing is all about the People and Memorable Times

Wheeler Cup Format

• Deep water for low-handicap & deep draft monohull boats

• Three competitive races depending on conditions

• One Design competition available (see One Design Requirements  below)

• Racing begins at 1200, by divisions

• Three races - windward leeward courses for monohull boats

• Shorter courses for smaller boats with higher ratings.

Nimitz Cup - Multi Hull Event

• Three races - challenging courses for multihull boats

• One Design competition available (see One Design Requirements  below)

• Racing begins at 1200, by divisions

• Your fleet may race non-spinnaker by full consensus of your entrants

Berkeley Marina Trophy - Non-Spinnaker PHRF

• One race - a longer Bay Tour Course with interesting currents

Sunday Pursuit Race

• Reverse PHRF starts

• Challenging course with long upwind and downwind segments

• Separate monohull and multihull scoring and awards

• Starts at 1200

One Design Requirements

• Must have at least three boats for one design scoring & awards

• Must have at least five boats for a separate one design start

• Your fleet may race non-spinnaker by full consensus of your entrants

Shore Party & More

• Overnight berths available at guest dock & marina (no charge)

• Friday Beer-Can tune-up race at 1800

• Oyster & shrimp bar Friday evening & Saturday afternoon

• Friday BBQ dinner beginning at 1900

• Saturday afternoon - free pitcher of margaritas per boat

• Saturday dinner & live music at 1600

• Donuts & coffee Clubhouse 0900 Saturday & Sunday mornings

Saturday Shore Party

• Live Music begins at 1500

• Complimentary margaritas or beer 1500

• Oyster Bar Saturday 1500

• Saturday Food Service 1500
